Making an Ethics’ and Morals’ Jewel Box

April 6, 2017 By Ayesha Marfani-Muslim Author 4 Comments

Teaching morals and ethics can be tough. I figured a unique method of embedding moral and ethical values in children.

Make a lovely jewelry box for kids. Mark it as ‘Ethics and morals’ jewel box.

Then get a lot of beads in different colors and with alphabets. Then allow the kids to make jewelry like earrings, rings, and studs with a moral or ethical trait written on it.

You can write words such as patience, courage, integrity, honesty and as many as you want your child to learn.

Fill the jewel box with the jewelry. Ask your kid to select the one jewelry and wear it.  You must also ask them to practice the trait written on the jewelry they chose.

You can allow them to trade their jewelry for a new one when your child thinks he has learned the trait. It will make the kids instigated and motivated.

If you have more than one kid then you can ask them to trade among themselves. You can also do this activity in class.
